Eating clalories VS. Buring calories for weight loss?!

Question: I eat 1,200-1,500 calories a day and eat all healthy foods. I am working out 4x a week for about 45 minutes each time doing cardio. I have been buring around 500-550 calories each time. Is that good? I'm trying to lose weight, but this is a lifestyle change, not a diet...I can stick to this forever. I'm not worried about dropping weight really fast, I'm aiming for 1-2 pounds per week.

that sounds perfect
good for you for taking the healthy route
1 to 2 pounds a week is the only permanent and healthy way to lose weight

the only thing i would recommend it to weight train twice a week. muscle helps you keep fat off, because it consumes more calories at rest than fat.

good luck :)

sounds good, but you should also throw some toning in there as well...cardio alone isn't necessarily the only way to help in your weight loss. If you struggle try signing up for Weight Watchers online for a couple months. It doesn't cost much and it teaches you a lot about portion size after you're on it for a few months it becomes second nature.
Many people think counting calories and eating healthy foods is all you need to do, but when you're eating and how often is just as important as WHAT you're eating. Depriving yourself of certain fats can be harmful, as well as consuming all your 1500 cals in just 2-3 meals, so it's good to use a tool like weight watchers to make sure you're doing it all right. I'm no longer on the program but have managed to maintain my wieght for 3 years since being off!
