Adrenal fatigue?!

Question: For the past 2 years, I have constantly been saying that I do not feel like myself anymore. I have been having irregular periods (sometimes I go 2 months without one.) I always feel tired and in the afternoon around 1-2pm, I get so tired I feel that I could fall asleep standing up! My mind always feels "fuzzy." I find myself irritable constantly...the littlest things set me off anymore! The smallest amount of stress makes me feel like I am having a mental breakdown. I have 2 sons (ages 2 & 3.) I am married, but he works 50 hour work weeks and take college classes on top of that, so i do not get much help from him. I am just tired of constantly feeling like this! It's like I dont know who I am anymore....I just go through the motions. I had bloodwork done about 2 years ago and it came back saying my hormone levels were abnormal, I remember something about DHEA. I'm not sure what that is. I looked it up and something about this adrenal fatigue came up. Has anyone ever heard of it??

It could be a number of things but it sounds like a under active thyroid. I have been hypothyroid for about 8 years now but it is under control with medication and exercise. You should really call the doctor and explain your situation and maybe they can work out some kind of payment plan that fits your budget so that you can get the treatment that you need. http://www.endocrineweb.com/hypo1.html

Those sound like symptoms of depression to me. I had it once, but couldn't call it that, so I called it "stress" and the doctor gave me anti-depressants, which I called "stress relievers". It helped a lot. You should maybe ask about that at the doctors and after taking meds for a month, and then if you don't feel better, try something else.

Other things that will help is eating more fruits, veggies and whole grains, along with less fat and greasy food and exercising. Even if you feel you don't have the energy, at least get up and walk. After a couple days you might feel better.

I hope this helps!
