Is It Normal....?!

Question: I really don't want to ask this here but my freaking physician will not return my calls. I've left 3 messages in 2 days and not one word back so i have found a new physician who seems very sweet but can't give me an answer until i see her next week.
Okay, here's the thing and i would really appreciate polite and mature responses to this please.
On January 2nd i had my gallbladder removed.
Is it normal after having your gallbladder removed to miss periods, that it might cause some stress and changes in your body that it can disrupt your cycle?
Thank you for kind responses.

when I had my gallbladder removed, my period skipped a full month before starting again and when it did, it was really heavy and long. I don't know why your doctor did not warn you about that, but it is a pretty common side effect from most surgeries due to the stress, medications and changes in eating habits.

I'm not sure about the gallbladder, but yes stress can mess with your body in that way. Good luck and hang in there. take care

Any kind of surgery puts stress on the body and on you, so yes it can. I have been under ALOT of stress and my periods have been whacko!

I heard sometimes that you can miss periods after surgery but usually come back to normal soon.
