doesnt hurt at all, tampons are the best invention ever. Just take a little time to practice using them first.

No it doesn hurt. Just relax and take your time. Buy tampons with an applicator, those are easier to use. hope this helps a bit.

No, it does not hurt at all, if you get them in right. If you have pain with it, you have put it in wrong.

No, it doesn't hurt. Ask your mom to show you how to do it.

Doesn't hurt at all and once you use one you will never want to use a pad again.....Promise!

Make sure you do not use it when you are not on your period. You need to relax when you insert it. It is a bit awkward the first time using one, but once you are used to it, you will be very comfortable having them in. Go to www.webmd.com for some advice on how to use them and insert them. Good Luck in swimming!

It doesnt hurt at all whatsoever!

I feels a little strange to start with but you know what to expect by the second time and by the third you shouldn't even be bothered.

Sometimes it doesn't go right the first time, even for regular users, so just dispose of that one and try again.

Remember that you need to change it regularly because of toxic shock syndrome and personal hygeine, good luck.

No, really it doesn't. You need to get some practice in, then you'll have no trouble. Get the smallest tampon available, and use some vaseline just to start with. It's up to you whether you use one with an applicator or not, personally, I find the applicator ones easier, but it's just a matter of choice. Read the instructions on the leaflet, and jus take your time. It'll feel strange at first, but just be gentle and keep trying. When it's in properly, you shouldn't be able to feel it at all, so if you can, you need to try again. Don't be scared, you're in control when you put it in, and you won't hurt yourself.

Yeah it can hurt just a teeny tiny bit the 1st time but it hurts worse if you're nervous! Practice a bit and it'll get easier, use a bit of vaseline on the tampon.

it hurts if you are yense

remember to wash your hands first

my tip is dont wipe yourself after you wee until you have put the tampon in as this will leave the area moist and make it easier

wipe your self dry afterwards

practice before if you want just make sure you dont leave a tampon in if you are not on your period pull it straight out

best wishes to you

Is it the kind u shove in or push in? Oh, I thought u said thumbtacks.

Well I don't want to freak you out, but the first time I used a tampon it did hurt. But just the first time, after that it didn't. Just relax and use one with a plastic applicator, not a cardboard one. And then once you get used to them, you'll be able to use whatever kind and you'll never want to use a pad again! They are so easy!

If you put it in wrong it may feel uncomfortable but if you do it right it should hurt it just might feel weird till you get used to it!! you will be fine!! Just make sure you use the smallest size that works for you!! Good luck!!

It hurt me... Start with the smallest one you can get... Good luck...

at first it might a little. i love tampons; i never wear pads. start out with the "light" tampons, and see how you like them. i like the Tampax Pearl. I just think they go in easier. Cheap ones don't have a good grip, and could slip out of your fingers. You should be fine!! However, if you find tampons aren't for you, see about getting a note to excuse you from the swim lessons when you're on your period.

if i were u i wouldn"t go inside of the pool when i "m on my period ..it could lead to infection and it might even go through...i say u tell your teacher if there is n-e assignment that he can have u do to receive the points...that"s what i did...

It doesn't hurt if it's in correctly.. however, a school CANNOT make you do something you don't feel comfortable with. You CAN sit out for the time you have your period. If they give you greif about it, take it up to the principal. Trust me, you do have say in this matter.. and i'm sure you are young.

The same thing happened to me.
I was a 4 th grader my period started and the whole fourth grade needs to go swimming. I try using a tampon but it hurt and a few weeks later I tryed using and it didn't hurt, but if you don't want to wear tampons you can wear your underwear and put your pad in it the one with wings. Three days later my period was gone.If you want to wear a tampon it won't hurt, trust me.

The first insertions are not necessarily totally comfortable because you are learning a new technique.
