Question: how long does pap smear results take to reach the gyno? i had mine on jan. 7. if it helps i went to planned parenthood so when should i call them to find out if the results are in or not?

usually 2-3 weeks. My results come in the mail.
Lab processing times vary a lot and some of them have big backlogs. I'd recommend calling the planned parenthood office you visited and asking them what their current turnaround time is. Then you can know about when to expect the call (or call in for the results).
i've never went to planned parenthood...but when i get a pap..it always takes about a week and the doc calls me...so i dont know how it works with planned parenthood. good luck
You can call but they might not be able to give you results over the phone, the rules are very strict for health care workers. So just call tell them what the date was that you had it done and ask if you should be expecting your results. Just remember when it comes to paps, no new is good news. Because if there is something wrong they HAVE to contact you.
