When will i get my Period?!?!
Question: I am 14 1/2 and i don't have my period. I am a freshmen in High School, I have had discharge for almost 1 year and a half. I know I should be happy but I'm not. I don't want to be differnet from other girls. I am in High School! In order to survive you have to fit in and I don't! I have a flat chest and I look like I am 10. I want to grow up so bad. My sister always calls me immature and "When am I ever going to grow-up or in your case bust up?" It hurts me so bad becuse there is nothing I can do. I almost cry everynight because I feel like I am the only one. I hate going to Victorias Secret with my mom and sister because the bras depress me :'( I know that sounds dumb. I pray to God everynight to give me my period but he never listens. I just want to be normal. I don't know what my question is, I just think i need reasurence. But reasurence for what? IDK! I am such a mess right now.

There is no set age for a girl to become a woman it happens whenever you least expect it .
I was 14 when I started showing signs of growing and didn't start my period till I was 16 .I was teased of course but I didn't care and I never felt I wasn't normal .In fact I was relieved not to go through all the aches and pains that most girls had to go through . I found the whole idea to be a pain in the butt.and dreaded the day it happened .You are 100% normal
I now have a 13 year old daughter and I had to go through this with her as well only the circumstances were switched .She started growing at the age 10 and not long after started puberty and she thought she wasnt normal because she was the only one in her class that was going through it .And like me she was teased for it.
All of us are normal .We just want to do things when we feel we are ready ,But our bodies know when we are truly ready and when your least expecting it then it will happen
Dont rush and dont stress It is not good for you are still young and stressing is for us old ladies.
Patience, it is very hard but that is all you can do. I knew a friend who didn't "develop" until she was 19. Being rather skinny can cause a delayed period appearance, but since you say you haven't developed in other ways, I would think your body just hasn't bloomed yet. It is very difficult, I know, but just hang in there, keep praying, and it will come eventually. All the other girls got theirs before me, so I know how you feel. Just try and be patient, and focus on being a killer girl with or without those nasty hormones!
you're still young! and it doesn't mean you're high school, you have to look like a lady! no! just wait for your time..
a period is something that happens when your body is ready in some girls its sooner than others. personally i started at 12 but i have friends who didnt start until 15. another thing is if ur sister is telling you to grow up shes most likely not talking about ur period im thinking the way you act, maybe she feels u act young, but you are 14 is young!! have fun while you can becasue one the monthly monster comes u will wish u never did :)
Wow. Just from someone who has had their period for 6 years, don't pray for it. I know, the suspense is killing you. You just want to be like everyone else. Don't worry you'll get your period soon and you'll start growing. You're just a late bloomer. There is nothing horribly wrong with you. I say love yourself. Live with what you have at the moment. Flaunt what the good lord gave you, instead of always thinking negatively. Honestly, don't keep your feelings bottled up. If your sister hurts your feelings stand up for yourself and say something. People will notice your confidence and be attracted (in a good way) to it.
aww thats so sad. i remember feeling that way... then i got my period a week later... hmm, that obviously hasnt happend in ur case... thats really mean what ur sis says to u... talk to ur mum about it... if thatl work... awwww i feel so sorry for u... well, before i got my period, if ppl asked me if i had mine, i said maybe!!! it worked so well coz some knew i just wanted attention and some thought i did and then it got all my friends talking and guessing, fun! neway, its noones business whether u have ur period or not!!! so u shouldnt have to say yes or know if one of ur friends asks u... since ur 14 u should get ur period soon!! dont cry:(

well im 13 and i havnt started! i am flat to bt not really bad i have boobs. bt ya i still fiit in! real friends except you for who you are! not for wat your bra size you wear. and some girls dont start till 16 so your ok. i think of it as a blessing because my friends say once you get it you will regret wanting it. so ya im kool with not starting yet and you should be too. god is happy the way he made you!
I had the same problem when I was your age. Some girls just take longer, some don't get it until they're 18. I know right now you really want it to feel like a woman, but once you get it you'll wish it took you longer.
Another reason may be that you have a solid hymen. All hymens have small holes or open parts, but if it doesn't your menstration will be backed up. With this, a doctor will have to make a hole in order for menstrual blood to come through. Think about getting a gynecological exam just in case.
Have u spoken to Ur mom?
may be Ur mother also had it very late, do not worry about it becoz anxiety also causes delay, what kind of discharge do u get?if it is blood then may be u already have started your menstrual cycle
Dear about ur physical growth also u need to see ur family history, but at the same time my sincere advise is that u talk to ur mother or someone elderly person u trust....may be ur grandma or some Aunt
See for elder sis u will always be immature becoz, u will always b younger to them, so may be with love she calls u immature........talk to some one...and b happy
trust me it will come. i am only 12 and i got mine last year when i was 11. you really do not want it yet. it is a pain in the butt. i am a 7th grader and when i go to school with my period i'm afraid i am going to bleed through my tampon and everyone will see a big blood stain. trust me i am on ym period right now and it completely sucks. i understand why you might feel left out but i know a girl who is 12 and she shas a sister who is a freshman in high school and still hasn't started her period yet either. your just a late bloomer.
