The answer is duplicatable stimuli. I read a long time ago of a study performed on college students. They started out with two groups; one studied in a room flooded with the smell of chocolate, the other did not. At test time, the two groups were halved and half of each group tested in a room flooded with the smell of chocolate, while the others did not.

The group that studied and tested in the chocolate room did much better than the others; the group that studied and tested without any smell did second best; the other two groups did about equally as well.

Personally, I like to study with hard candy, such as Creme Savers, then have one in my mouth while testing. Not sure if it improves my score, but it makes me more confident that I will recall the answers.

The best thing to do is relax. If you stress out and watch the clock, you will choke up. If you can convince yourself that you will do well, you will feel more relaxed.

As for focus, study without TV or phone nearby, study with a partner and discuss concepts that are not quite clear, use mnemonics to trigger recall, and get plenty of sleep. You must remember that if you think you will fail, you have failed already.

Use Prozac capsules.

The run should be helpful, try not to spend long times studying without time out for a snake or even a chat with Family members, this should help your mind and body to refresh, try to set an agenda for each session this should help give you the time lines for the period you will be done.
