Bladder urgency after sex?!

Question: I had a bladder infection back in December due to not urinating after having sex. I got rid of it with anti-biotics and all was fine. I waited a while after having sex again, and when I did, I felt as though the urgency from my bladder infection was back. The urgency lasted about 4-6 days after having sex (no pain or burning), so I went back to my doctor who took tests and said I did NOT have another infection. My boyfriend and I waited about a month and a half to have sex again, just to make sure my previous infection was fully healed. Well, we had sex last night and the night before and the urgency is BACK! I know it is not an infection of the bladder because I do not have the pain, discolored urine or any other symptoms. It seems that since my infection, I have urgency everytime I have sex.

Has anybody else experienced this? If so, what did you do about it? I know I should see a doctor, but I'm not even sure they can do anything about this! Please help!!!

It sounds more like a mental thing. Maybe you think you should have the urgency because of past problems, so your mind is creating the problem when it is really not there anymore. Try to urinate right before and after sex. If you feel the urgency, just relax and remember you will not pee your pants! Try to take the urgency out of it, maybe by leaving the room and walking around the house once. Then the next time, try to do it twice. I think you just need to retrain yourself to not think you will have to pee right after having sex, though you might have in the past.
