Yep! This is definitely your period.
Don't worry when i got my first period last year, it was little amounts for about the first day and then it was so heavy!
Now i have my periods for 8 days. gross. and they are heavy sometimes.
You need to ask your mum to buy you pad's not tampons cause they are so hard to use and i personally don't like them.

I found this on an article:::
Changes in the amount and length of bleeding during your period can happen because the levels of hormones your body manufactures can be different from one menstrual cycle to the next. This is particularly true when you are just beginning to get periods and your body is still adjusting. Your period may change in how long it lasts and how often it comes for the first couple of years that you menstruate. Lots of other things can affect menstrual periods, such as nutrition, exercise, and medications. If you're ever concerned about your period, talk to your doctor.
..

hope i helped you!

yep it is.
:)

when i first got mine it was just alittle. Not very much and it was sum what brownish. i had that for a few months before it was normal

welcome to the most annoying thing in the world. Be glad its only a small amount right now. Hope that it stays that way!!

It probably is. Sometimes a girls first period is very, very light and just a brown discharge. Don't be confused, it happens to all women. Go tell mom so she can help you out as far as pads, tampons, etc. Congratulations on becoming a woman!

congradulations welcome to women hood!
Use women hood wisely because if you dont you will have consquences!;]

This very well sounds like your first period.
Periods are not normally gushing, red blood (like some people may think them to be).
The majority of women only lose around 4 tablespoons worth of blood during the course of their period, which really isn't that much.
Go to the website below if you want to learn more about your periods...it is pretty informative.

Yes. It sounds like it is.
