What is the dark brown discharge that appears when I wipe?!
Question: Im 23 and for awhile now Ive had a light brown discharge after my period and sometimes randomly throughout the month. However, this month I've noticed the discharge is a much darker brown, very clotty, and once there was a hint of red blood. Im not due to start my period for another 8 days. I have been 100% regular since I started birth control in 2004. My boyfriend and I rarely use condoms anymore but I am always careful with my pill. He also pulls out well before he goes. In fact, he has to finish himself off for about 5 seconds before he actually releases, so I know that he has never ejaculated inside me. I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me to take my pill every day. Once this month I forgot to take a pill and doubled up the next day. Im just worried about the discharge and, of course, the possibility of being pregnant. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Does it smell bad? If so, then you definitely want to see a doc for possible infection.
It could be old period blood and it could be from doubling up for a day on your BCP. Take your pills as directed from now on and see a doc in a week if the discharge doesn't go away.
Highly doubtful that you are pregnant, however the discharge is normal at the end of your period, I have never heard of it coming before. However based on the color and bit of blood it does sound normal... My best advice for you would be to just go to the doctor for a quick check up it couldn't hurt you know. Good Luck :)
Your period is getting lighter and lighter since being on the pill. This happened to me too. The dark brown is dried blood-it's not as red because the flow has slowed. It's normal

Ever heard of pre ***? When a man's penis is erect, it can release sperm at anytime, not just when he ejaculates. BC is only 99% effective, alot of people still get pregnant even when they are on BC, pull out, and wear a condom. If you are concered buy a pregnancy test. Doesnt sound like you are pregnant, but you should see your DR cause it could be something more serious.
I highly doubt you are pregnant but to be sure i would take a test. maybe as you forgot one pill your system got confused and you may be starting your period early. if you are still worried i would see your doctor or the person who prescribed these pills
