Don't worry too much, i only got mine last year when i was 13! They are so annoying, and i remember when i got mine last year, i wanted it so so much because all my friends had theirs and when i got it i was like this is so gross ! My mum used to think i was lying to her too and it was so frustrating cause i wasn't. But when i told her i got my period, she's like 'oh you weren't lying when i asked you if you had got your period yet'. lol.
Here are a few signs it's on its way.
Breast tenderness.
Bloated feeling.
Bad cramps, lay in a warm bath to soothe your cramps, trust me it helps!
You get whitish discharge for about a year before your first period, that's what i got and it got heavier so that's how i new it was coming and then in about 10 days it came.
When it first arrives you will feel unusually wet and sticky 'down there' and when you go to the toilet a dot of brownish or red blood about 1 inch wide will be on your undies.
Don't worry at the start your periods are very light so you will have plenty of time to get pad's. I would wait after your first period maybe your second to use tampons because i got my period last year when i was 13 and i still haven't used tampons.
Don't worry it will arrive and it is not scary at all, just talk to your mum if you are worried, that's what i did.
Hope i helped. :)

It is completely normal. I knew a friend who didn't start until she was 19. If you are skinny that can affect it as well, if you don't have enough body fat that can delay your internal clock. Be patient, it will happen. Stop worrying too, stress can affect it as well.

getting a period could happen at anytime during adolesence. there's really no "right" or "wrong" time to get it.... usually.... unless you're like 18 and still haven't gotten it yet it's totally normal. just give it some time. it's just a natural body process that you have no control over. trust me, when you get it, you won't want it.

There's nothing to worry about. There are women out there that get theirs when they are 16/ 17. I know this because my mom was one of them. You should only worry if it still doesn't come after your are 16.

There are many signs that you will be getting your period. First, you will notice hair down there and under the arms. Then there's the white discharge on your underwear You would get your period 1-2 year after your start getting discharge.

Every woman developes at different rate. Don't worry that you still haven't gotten your period. Enjoy your childhood days while you still can.

Periods start a different ages. I had a niece who did not start until her Sr. year in high school. Ask your mother to make an appointment for you to see an OB/GYN

just chill and enjoy the carefree and unmoody you for right now. i started mine when i was 16.

People all mature at different times. Maybe your mother, or grandmother also had a later start, Or you are to skinny, and need to get some more natural body fat... just count it as a blessing that you don't have it... it can be hell

That's normal I was 16 when I got mine :|

It is OK - you need not worry unless you are experiencing some pain. If your mother is concerned she can take you to Ob-Gyn for her peace of mind-afterall mothers always worry. Also if you are very skinny you may get delayed period. An outstanding athlete like swimmer, track-and-field runner, who practices for couple of hours everyday also may experience delayed period.
Don't worry and don't stress out.
