I've been menstruating for two weeks...?!

Question: my period is usually regular as far as timing, and it is usually light to moderate and last 5-6 days. this month it came 3 days early and hasn't stopped and has been a little heavier than usual. I will be on for 2 weeks tomorrow with no signs of it stopping. any sugestions besides the dr?

oh wow. and yes that does happen. menstrual cycles go all haywire when yr normal habits change like yr diet, sleeping patterns and also when yr stressed

last time i didntt get my period for 5 months. and no, wasnt pregnant. im still a virgin. get yrself checked at a specialist. he/she will know. its best to ask a specialist

but are u stressed though? its alway the cause for these weird happenings

and

no, i beleive the only thing you could do would see a doctor. sorry

definitely go to the doc.

See a doctor soonest you could have broken blood vessels If it is just slow flow probably not artery but still needs checking.

There's no way to just make it stop. I had my period for two weeks once but after that it returned to normal. Waiting it out and seeing a doctor are pretty much your only options. Good luck!

no... I really just think you should go to the doctor! I have nothing else to say!

Hmm that's really odd. I couldn't handle a 2 week period. But uhh I don't know just wait til it stopps. My friend had her period for 3 weeks once. And then she didn't get her period again for 2 months!

i once had my period and then 3 days after stopping it started again..i freaked out and went to the E.R and told them i was hemooraging..and after blood work and a quick check downstairs dr. said it was rare, but things like this happen...so my advice to u is not to worry too much about it..could just be one of those things, but i would call a doctor if it continues for much longer..also i was getting my period every 2 weeks for like 3 months because of the birth control pills doc put me on..stopped taking them..went back to normal

You don't say how old you are, but you don't sound old enough to be approaching menopause which can have that effect on your period. You could have fibroids. These are harmless but can cause prolonged bleeding. You really should see a doctor. You could become anaemic if you bleed like that every month. Perhaps you can find a woman doctor to see. Good luck!

youre fine! i used to not have a period for 3 months and then bleed for a month straight! stress, illness(colds or the flu), and change in diet can sometimes mess with your hormones and change the way your cycle is delivered to you! if in another week it still doesnt stop then yes consult with your obgyn. but all they will do most likely is prescribe hormones to balance you out! try not to get stressed and dont do any major work outs or changes in your diet and it should help!

Are you taking birth control? Some women who take birth control start bleeding and don't stop. I heard one woman got a depo shot and bled for 9 straight months. But then she got pregnant 2 months after that, so I don't think whatever is wrong with you will have long term consequences. But I am not an ob/gyn. You definitely need to consult your health care provider if you can't seem to pinpoint a reason for your condition on your own.

It's called"dis functional uterine bleeding". Basically, your choice is to wait for it to end, or go to a doctor to find out what is causing it. I am about ready to get some testing done, because I get it from time to time. Sometimes(from what I have been told) it could be a "hormonal change". Sometimes something called"fibroid" cause it. The worst thing I have heard causing it is uterine cancer, which is why you should be checked. Sometimes birth control pills or another hormone therapy is enough to stop it from going on, other times, they have to do surgery. I'm waiting to see what is going to be happening in my case. Good luck to you^_^.

I would call your doctor to make sure it's not serious- they will let you know whether or not to be concerned. Most likely they'll want you to come in.

Welll.
yknow
how theres those weird times where menustrating is weird, eh?
I seem to have skipped mine this month.
