Preventing gas?!


Question: It seems like no matter what or how much I eat or when I eat it, I always get gassy. Being a young woman this is, understandably, embarassing. Anyone have some advice as to how I could prevent or stop this problem?! Thanks!

Some people have a sensitive bowel, and may be more prone to feeling gassy. Sometimes this is associated with cramping, diarrhea or constipation. It can be a component of a syndrome known as "Irritable Bowel Syndrome". In addition to the herbal remedies previously described, over the counter meds such as GAS-X or Mylicon can help absorb some of the excess gas and make you feel better. They are safe, non-habit forming, and inexpensive. Try, also, to recognize which foods seem to make it worse. Most people do have recognizable triggers.

Try the overcounter pill Bean-o

It helps prevents gas....

Go to the health food store and ask for digestive enzyme pills. These pills have the enzyme "Amylase" in them to aid in digestion.

Beano does not work, try Max strength Phazyme, you can find this along side the Beano at the drugstore, and it works a lot better. Comes in a purpleish pink box. Just read and follow the directions because you cannot take more than two a day.
