How can I hide from everybody the fact I'm anorexic?!

Question: I wanna know how to hide it! Telling them is NOT an option!

Answers: I wanna know how to hide it! Telling them is NOT an option!

i know it may seem like telling them isn't an option.
and i know it may seem like you're hiding it.
the thing is, your parents probably already know and are trying to pretend it isn't happening.

for example, i'm in recovery for anorexia. i've been anorexic for 2 years. my parents said they started seeing my eating habits and just my all around attitude change about 6 months into my disorder, but i didn't say anything and neither did they.

I do not have bad parents, they just wanted to see "the best" in me. they didn't want to admit our family was dysfunctional. (my eating disorder caused a LOT of stress on me and we often got in big arguments over everything, my dad was always on business, my brother always left the house becuase we were always fighting.) my mom just wanted to pretend we had our happy little family.

the thing is, i am a dancer.
i passed out at a competition on stage.
i was taken to the hospital.
they ran tests only for my parents to find out i hadn't eaten in 3 days. but, of course, they knew that. i lied, and they believed me.

well, they wanted to believe me.

i am in recovery becuase of a worried friend. and a worried teacher.

i could be dead now if no one "told on me"

you may want to hide it now, but the first time you pass out, or have hunger pains so bad you're blinded. or have your friends ask you if you're going to eat lunch enough times....you'll want it to stop.

what you're doing is not healthy and will only result in death.

wearing baggy clothes is not what i'd suggest to do though.
that's a sign friends and family are told to look for.
wear your size now. act comfortable with your weight loss.

that will "hide it" for as long as you allow it to be hidden.

but please tell someone.
email me if you ever need support, i'm willing to give it to you.

Yea that's right Yani Rob you change your answer! Report It

  • ok. first of all. everybodyy is qoinq to know. b|c your always qoinq to be in there presence. soo i dunno. but maybe to hide it a bit in your appearance, you could wear long dreses. something biq and strechy. not tiqht nor silky.

i suqqest you seek help, b|c next step is death.

    Just wear baggy clothes :)

you're telling a bunch of strangers on the internet you're anorexic, but yet...you want to hide it?

Having had several friends and family members with eating disorders...don't kid yourself, everybody always knows. Every single time that someone has said to me....well I think I am anorexic or bulimic....I have always been able to tell them that I already knew and was just waiting for them to admit it.

You are endangering your health. Get help now before you end up in the hospital.

I have a friend who has been hospitalized numerous times due to her disorder, is not able to have children because she has done so much damage to her reproductive cycle. Every time she gets a cold, she ends up with pneumonia because her body is so weak.

The latest trip to the hospital showed her to have an embolism, which is a type of blood clot. This blockage was causing her to pass out, and her parents found her out cold on her kitchen floor. She remembers walking into her kitchen the night before, around eight and her parents found her the next morning around ten. They had gone to her house to pick her up for a trip....instead it was off to the emergency room.

She likes to live in a fantasy world and thinks that no one knows that she doesn't eat properly. She has thought this for her whole life, and everyone knows.

    You are only fooling yourself.

    Good luck.

everyone is going to know anywayz when they see sucha drastic change in weight and size.... dont hide it and its not helthy for you my bst advice for you is not to be anerexica live eat and enjoy your life and stop worrying about your weight because one day you are going to wake up and realize that you have wasted you time and your life worring about your weight and realize that you have not accomplishes anything and that you should have loved your self from the begining.

Being anorexic is a pathetic and stupid way to lose weight. Have you done research on anorexia? If you have, and learned it's consequences but are still not eating, than that's not only dangerous, it's stupid down-right stupid.

Being anorexic is no more than a low self-esteem issue. You want to lose weight and change the way you look. Why not just be happy with what you have? Or at least eat healthier and excercise more. You're basically killing yourself. In simple words, your body NEEDS food to function. Without it, BAD things will happen. Understand?

You want to lose weight? EXERCISE. Go out and jog or something. Take up a sport or hobby. Don't comtinue to be ignorant. EAT HEALTHIER. Not all foods are bad. You need food. Literally.

And the fact that your "question" is asking how can you hide the fact that you are anorexic probally means that you're pretty immature. If telling is not an option, do whateve you are doing before. Hopefully you have people who cares about you enough to you to realize what you're doing to yourself and help you. If you are mature and responsible, you will admit that you have a problem and ask for help. Don't be stupid. Seriously, do you want YOUR children one day to become anorexic and stop eating?

Why is telling them not an opinion? Chances are they care very much about you, otherwise they wouldn't give a sh@t either way.
No sane person here is going to help you conceal your disease. Anorexia is a disease of the mind that slowly becomes a disease of the body, like a cancer, eating away at every part of your body. Sure, you can wear baggy shirts and make up excuses for not eating, but they would have to be blind not to see the signs.
Anorexia is not something to be proud of, not something to feel proud from hiding.
