I tok the pill for over 20 years with no adverse side effects, and I am perfectly healthy now. It is so convenient to use and the benefit of preventing unwanted pregnancy was enough to convince me.
Its different for everyone...biggest pro is, if used correctly it is highly unlikely youll get pregnant. Also more consistent periods and clearere skin (hopefully!) Cons, weight gain, hormone weirdness, headaches, blood clots..talk to your Dr.
birth control: all of them are different if you want the shot you need to test it with your doc bc i know someone who gained like 60 pounds from that so i dont recommend it..the pill you have to remember to take exactly at the same time everyday. so thats not always good either...mirena sounds good. you dont gain weight you dont have to worry about side effects except for the first coupld months your period will be VERY Irregular. im gonna get that. its the best one its good for 5 years and you dont have to worry. your body jsut has to get used to it in the first few months. thats the only bad part. i recommend MIRENA
