Firstly make sure you're both aware of the consequences and have protection ready. If you're sure its what you both want and you are ready for it then there isnt much to do about the pain. After you've had sex a few times it will ease but your first time will always hurt. To stop a bit of discomfort make sure your wet when you have sex and if not use lubricant.

Just go slow, there is no "best position" for starters. I recommend a lubricant like KY jelly or something.

I saw by your other question that you are 13. You might want to hold off for a couple years until you both have a little more maturity.
make sure you are wet enough or use enough lube. if you are on your back, then your body is relaxed, but if you are on top, then you can control how deep you wanna go.
