Brown discharge? Does this mean period?!
Question: I haven't had my period yet, and I have been getting a white discharge for about a year now, then it turned brown and has been like that for the past 3-4 days... did you get this before you got your period? If so, when should I be expecting it? (don't say "soon")
Also, will I ALWAYS be getting discharge? It really bothers me!

yes. im pretty sure you have started your period. i had brown discharge too. that means the blood is dry.
and yes, u'll always have discharge...sorry.
My first period was like that.

hey you should get your period as soon as today to in a couple of days. Usually discharge happens before each period.
i had the same thing happen to me a year or two before my peroid. If it turned brown id say expect it within the year. Also after you get your period it should stop and only come back right before u get it again. If this doesnt happen like this talk to ur mom about it. She may have answers that i cant help you with.
so i tkae it that you must be about 11 or under 13 right? well, this happened to me also and i think that is a sign t hat your period is on its way...tell your mom...just to be safe.
It sounds like u have your period. Menstrual blood can look brown in your panties. I was confused when I first got mine too.

Okay. You really shouldn't be getting advice from the internet about this, but here goes. The brown discharge is normal on your first period (it is your first period). The white discharge is normal for a short period of your cycle, but not a whole month. If the white discharge continues, treat yourself for a yeast infection and that should take care of it.
Some women get brown discharge before the occasional period. Some women get brown discharge before every period. Some women get brown blood/discharge as their first period.
So I'm guessing either this is your period (the first ones are often a little odd in terms of colour, length, flow etc.) or your period is coming very soon.
You probably won't get 3-4 days of brown spotting before every period because I believe that is quite uncommon. But normal white/clear discharge most women get a bit of every day.
Yeah I mine was that way too. I got mine at 11. It stayed that way for almost a year before it went normal. So you may very well have started. Best bet is to go see a gynecologist since you are stepping into the halls of woman hood. He or She will be able to answer any questions you may have.
You usually get discharge before and after your period.
That brown stuff is probably blood. I got that about a year before my first period.
