I just stopped taking birth control and missed my period?!
Question: I have been off of the pill for a month now because I broke up with my boyfriend. My period is now almost a week late. I have a little back pain and a kind of heavy feeling, but other than that it doesn't seem like I'm going to get it. I have never had a late period before, even before I was on the pill. I'm pretty sure I can't be pregnant since I haven't had sex in over 2 months and I have had a period since then. So why am I not getting a period? Is this normal with coming off the pill?

Yes it is normal. Your body was used to the artifical hormones and now its has to go back the normal balance it had before you started taking them. My doc told me it could take from 3 months to a whole year (possibly longer) for mine to be normal again. But I have been on bc for over 6 years so I expect to take a long time in my case.

Your period can be late from getting off of the pill because your body was used to the pill's hormones.
yeah its better to talk to your gynecologist before you
do that...it can be bad for you body to do that rapidly

Yes its normal your body gots to get used to its normal doses of hormes it produces and that fact u brike up with boy freind the stress doesn't help.
