I've passed 3 Kidney stones within the past 9 months - what gives?!

Question: And yes, I do drink a lot of water.

Answers: And yes, I do drink a lot of water.

They can be caused, I've heard, from drinking soda pop, coffee and a poor diet. It may be something that you are more prone to (hereditary). Also, excess intake of vitamin D, urinary tract infections, water pills, calcium-based antacids may increase your risk. If you feel you have one, try drinking straight lemon juice (freshly-squeezed). Be sure to drink it with a straw so your teeth enamel won't be harmed, and brush your teeth after. The acid in the lemon juice can help break down the stones. I've did that lemon juice thing before and, combined with prayer, my kidney stone disappeared! It dissolved into (I guess) such tiny pieces that it passed and was over with. Hope this helps ya!

cut out the cokes

drink lots of cranberry juice, cut down on salt intake and no more soda. ouch! hope this helps

infection and too much salt

alright...there are possiblity that you have more kidney stones..have you went to a doctor...they might have to run some test and make sure there isn't any more.....you might need to know this kind of stuff...if you don't want to give anymore...

Drink even more water and NEVER, I repeat NEVER hold your urine. If you have to go, go! I speak from experience.

Could be your diet or maybe some medication you take regularly.
