Are periods affected by sterilisation?!

Question: I was just wondering if your periods change, e.g. become lighter if you get your tubes tied. Does anyone have any insight?

No. Sterilization does NOTHING to the lining of your uterus, nor does it in any way effect the output of hormones governing your monthly cycles. Your periods will still occur with the same regularity & flow stability as before sterilization....with the one key factor being that pregnancy will be averted by the severance of the passage between ovaries & uterus.

No they dont.. sorry ... I had mine done a long time ago, and nothing changed.............................exce... i got adhesions and they caused pain...........................ended up having sugery to sort that out........

I don't imagine it changes. Ive never heard of anything else being different except you cant have any more kids.

They will stay the same, unless you get your uterus taken out
