Coping with Rape?!

Question: um, okay, my step father raped me and im only 14, im 4 months pregnant, and now i think im starting to fall apart emotionally, many people have already told me i should get therapy or a support group of some kind. I am keeping the baby, i would never dream of having an abortion and adoption would just break my heart even more than it already is. Please if you know any support sites please tell them to me, i really want to put this out of the way so i can raise my baby somewhat with a clear mind x.x help would be much appriecated.

you need someone to talk to... i am the same age as u and this is way to much for you to be dealing with... i have post traumatic stress syndrome from events and it seems like you have some of the symtoms.. i can understand how stressed out u are. you are 14 and u are already having a baby thats alot and to top it off you were raped... please make sure you and your baby are safe... if i were in your shoes i would go live with someone who cares about u (grandma, aunt, uncle) its probably really hard for you to talk about this subject.. i know this sounds stupid but if you ever want to talk to me go ahead just click on my face and my email will show up. i know what your thinking "why do i want to talk to some girl i dont even know" just remember you can always email me i know how hard this is.. i went through difficult times and i thought thoses were hard but you seem like the kinda person who is willin to fight back. just by keeping your baby shows how strong of a person you are. kudos to you! i look up to you for being so strong =) god bless you and your baby

First make sure you're safe now. You need to get away from that animal. If you are not, you need to report him to the police. tell your mom first. If she won't listen tell a teacher. Time will make things better but go see a doctor to get help. The most important thing is to get away from the scumbag, so concentrate on this first

Well, right now you are probably in shock. I am guessing your mother isnt with your step father anymore, right? And right now, i suggest the you stay with your family and get help from them. The more you are with people who love you and can support you, the better. And if you are going to keep the baby, which is going ot be hard for you sicne you are young and this will affect your life, you should really be talking with your parents about it right now and seeing what is best with them.

wow well i really respect you for keeping your baby but in my opinion i dont think you should do that you have barely started high school and i dont even know what to say but have you told your mom or anything you should ask her for some advice and go with what she thinks i also know you might feel its your baby but take some advice from someone you look up to and take it into consideration best of luck

I hope that the man is in the process of being punished for this disgusting attack on a vulnerable young person. Web sites will give you information but what you really need is specialist rape advice and counseling. Contact your local doctor's surgery and I am sure they will have details of a rape centre which can give you the expert advice you really need.

1. tell ur mum and you wont have 2 put up with any flash backs, or him- i no its hard but this is the one thing that will sort it out properly.
2. confide in ur mum- she is the best help u can have- she raised you,- she knows u better than anyone, and she willl realise how upset u are and what a low life ur stepdad is for mis-treating you, and will ask u for refrence of future love.
3. ur mum wont be mad at you- he will be the one she's mad at because she loves u more- made u- wonts u- nd she'll realise he cheated on her- and damadged ur heart.

awwwhhh honey i am so sorry you sound like a great person i hope you mother isnt still with that creep you have to make sure you are in the sarety of good ppl and loving ones and its a good decision 2 keep the baby and you should try looking around 4 a support group

I am really sorry about what happened to you. I have never been in the same situation but I know a couple great counselours that might be able to help you. They are family counselours but they can help you feel more stable and help you emotionally. Here is their website:
