Telling mom about my period?!

Question: I need to tell my mom about my period. And i don't want to say period, or pad. So, i'm gonna say, mum, when i was in the shower, i noticed red stuff in my underwear. But, whenever I see her, i just can't do it. I think that i'm like im gonna tell her, but i can't! How do i do it? I'm gonna say i noticed red stuff on my underwear during the shower.

Thanks :]
I'm afraid she'll be like WHAT?

honey you gotta remember your mom went through the same stuff she'll understand and you cant have you period and never tell her she'll probably think if you 17 and havent gotten ur period yet somethings wrong right

Your mom will understand when you talk to her. Just tell her that you think you have started your period and will need her help to get the things you need. You have to remember that your mom was your age at one time and went through the same thing.

Just tell her straight out. She will be more understanding than you know. Remember, she went through the same thing too.

Just say, mom, i think something is going on with me a like a monthly thing that goes on with all women. That's just an idea, good luck.

I just said, mum i become a woman. My auntie told me to say it, i was in mac donalds when i got it. Suppose i got a treat after.

Why can't you just say "Hey mom, i think I started my period." She has one, too, nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about there! Congrats, you're a woman!

if you had the courage to tell us you can tell her.she will figure it out sooner or later,it is something that every girl goes through i was scared to tell my mom, but after i told her i felt better and more closer to her. she is your mom and it is very normal to feel like this but trust me you will feel much better when you talk to her.

I don't see why you're not telling your mom since you had a period. You'll need to tell you, your mom should know about period and she is very concern you as much. She will be happy to help you for your period, and your mom will help you whatever you'll need get a tampons and pads? There is nothing to be scary as all. That is normal life. Wishing you good luck..

What I would do is try to act clueless. It worked for me just a few months ago. Acting clueless and scared really works. She'll under stand every girl gets it sometime.

Well, i think that telling her will be hard, because it may be embarrassing, but, it is important because she is your mother and she had to go through the same thing. Best thing to do is just tell her because then she can help you get settled and get everything together. And my mom was happy when i told her because she said i was becoming a woman and she celebrated by taking me shopping for clothes (and some other things if ya know what im saying :p). She will understand and it is natural so she knows it is going to happen some time or another.

if you know the answer to ur question, then why did u write a question ?

Why don't you want to tell her? She knows what this is all about she goes through it as well. Just come out and tell her you got it.
