just tell her that you are going for a check up but are nervous, and if she would mine coming along for moral support.

If you two are close, you shouldn't be scared to ask her.

Just ask her straight out. I'm sure she will say yes.
Nothing to be afraid of. :)

Just ask her. It sounds like you are really close. Tell her your concerns and I'm sure she'll have no problem going with you for support.

If you are that close, then just ask. Tell her you have a checkup and they freak you out and want her to go since she is older and knows the routine a little better than you. She's your sis she will understand! That's what they are there for!

You could just ask her to go. Tell her why you want her to go. Could be she already has had PAP smears and can 'walk you through' what they do and how it is done. It is a painless test. It is possible that she would not be able to go in the room with you anyway. She could wait in the waiting room until your exam is complete.

Go to WebMd.com to research the whats and hows of PAP smears.

First off, do not be scared to go for a pap test. Most practioners know women hate it , so they are usually very quick about it. It really takes no time at all. It is only a test, not a procedure. Go to a planned parenthood in your area, they are so great and are used to the issues of teens and young women. If you can't ask your sis, ask your Mom or a friend. Try not to have to much anxiety about this, just go and get it done, you'll be so relieved. You can do it!
