Prolapsed Rectum?!

Question: My wife has has finally admitted to me after years of suffering, probably due to childbirth straining, that her rectum pops out an inch or so when she goes to the toilet. She then has to tuck it back in again and it can sometimes be painful. Does anyone know of the correct name for this condition and can it be fixed?

It is called a prolapsed rectum. Most often it is reinserted with a lubricated, gloved finger. If she is continueing to have problems and pain there is surgical techniques to correct this:

The goal of all of the surgical techniques involved in correcting a prolapsed rectum is to attach or secure the rectum to a backside (or posterior) part of the inner pelvis. Surgery is performed through either the abdomen or the perineum.

Congragulations to you both on the birth of your child. Please help her now seek out a doctor to help her with this problem and not to be embarrassed about it. It is the result of the straining from giving birth and she has no reason at all to be embarrassed. Good Luck to you both

She has to see a doc asap.

oh my god.
sure she aint had a football team up there with out you knowing

Prolapsed rectum is a good enough. If the problem can be painful it is possible to rectify it surgically by effectively stitching it back in place. The procedure is relatively simple, straight forward and successful. Go see your GP to discus surgical referral.

the correct term for this issue is ewwwwwww.

It sounds like a prolapsed colon or rectum. I have been there and the surgery is not that bad to deal with. It is such a relief to go to the bathroomafter surgery without a buldge coming out. I wish your wife well. Please contact me if you need anyone to talk to. I suffered with a prolapse for 3 years before a Doctor would listen to me.

oh you dirty bugger
