Have you or anybody you know had a breast reduction surgery for medical reasons?!

Question: back/neck pain etc?

Thoughts?

Answers: back/neck pain etc?

I did Feb 2006 and would do it again in a heartbeat. I do not regret it at all and insurance covered 100% of it.

38J to 38C and my back pain is GONE

Here is a site about breastfeeding after a reduction, it can and does happen to MANY women, it really depends on if they remove your nipple completely or not.

Also, I had a lift included with my reduction.

Yupp. One of my closest friends had size 34D, and it Really hurt her spine. in aboufour years she will get plates put in her back (according to doctors...) So .. yeah

yes. I've known two people who have done that. They had horrible back pain and headaches and indents from bra straps that seemed permenant. They have had so much more relief since having it done. And one of them is now part of a woman's softball team which she never could do before because of the size of her breasts (36DD). She has always been a sports fanatic but couldn't do it. I think it is worth it if it is affecting your life not only physically but emotionally as well.

I am a size 42 E, while I am losing weight and I know that I will get back down to a 38DDD, its still way to big and yes everything hurts back, breasts, ect.
however I have decided to put off a reduction until I am 40, that way I will get two for the price of one I can get a reduction and a lift at the same time.
Also its hard to find a reduction specialist that will make sure you can still breast feed and have feeling so another 12 years between now and then will help improve their methods and procedures so much more. (Hard not impossible just more expensive at the moment -lol)

but yes there is no way I am taking these babies into old age.

I know 1 person who had it done and another that's planning to have it done later this year. Both have been suffering from back and neck pain.

One is only 22 and already starting to develop permanent indentions on her shoulders from bra straps. The other is the 3rd girl in her family to have a breast reduction and one of her sister's was starting to have spinal (not just muscle) problems because of the strain. While it's not something you should ever do "just because" and not a decision to be taken lightly, there are people for who it becomes a necessary procedure in order to prevent more serious problems later in life.

not yet but getting it done 42dd sucks
