Help! Ovarian cyst question.?!

Question: I have had pelvic pain in my lower left side on and off for 5 years. I recently went to the doctor for answers as many doctors have blown me off in the past. I need some answers!!

First, I had a pelvic ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound and it showed that everything was great, nothing was abnormal. The pain persisted and then a few months later, I had a CT scan. The doctor called and said that I have "possible ovarian cysts". I want to know why it is just "possible"....either I do or I don't. What could make them say it's just "possible". They told me to follow up with my OBGYN but I can't get in until late Feb. Of course, I'm thinking the worst and I'm coming out of my skin just thinking about this.

I went in and had a CT scan done to find out if I have cysts and then they tell me that it's "possible", I already knew that!

Also, if it was something REALLY bad, don't you think that after 5 years I would have had other symptoms by now? And why didn't they see it in the u/s??

Most cysts come and go. I get tons of little cysts in my breasts every month just before my period. Half way through my period, they go away.

I got cysts on my ovaries when I was on BC. Stopped taking the BC, the cysts went away. They are usually caused by hormones (so are many tumors, by the way).

You are not going to die of cysts.
