An abortion (just like a miscarriage or other other procedure involving the uterus, fallopian tubes, etc) can affect your ability to conceive and/or carry a child to term later in life. HOWEVER...the chances of any complications are minor if you have the procedure done at a reputable clinic under the care of board certified medical professionals. There are other options besides abortion to consider before making a final decision, but if a woman decides that abortion is her best option then as long as she does her homework about the facility where the procedure is performed, complications are kept to a minimum, if not avoided completely.

Yep and that's why abortion is morally wrong as well as a SIN too! God will strike you down with being infertile and you will burn in hell if you have one so don't do it!

please dont get an abortion!! thats the most horrible thing you could do to a living thing!!! if you were gonna get an abortion why'd you have unprotected sex????

Usually if it's a safe, legal abortion it presents no problems for future conception.

Infertility resulting from an abortion is very, very rare.

While it is not likely to have an adverse effect it can.

I have heard of issues if the procedure isnt done right. There are also MANY MANY other mental issues that occur. I have known two that suffered unrepairable damage. Please Please tell your friend that there are other choices such as adpotion. Childbearing is a gift not a right for us to throw it away. Please Please tell her not to throw it away. I know that wasnt the question but babies are human beings not dispensible medical terms. My apologies but everyone that I know that has had one has never been the same since. That is something that you cant just undo.
