I ovulated had sex and the next day i started spotting?!

Question: I went off the pill 5th jan after 5 months, started period 9th jan-14th jan, had sex sat 19th jan and 21st jan. did an ovulation test 21st, 2 lines almost the same colour appeared b4 sex later that nite, (did i ovulate?). next day at noon started to spot (mucus blood almost pink) have been spotting brown since (light brown sometimes dark), light spot on my pad but mostly when i wipe, it's been 2 days now. been having slight cramps but nothing like how my period pain usually is, it has actually settled over the space of today, can hardly feel it now. i have pcos, had blood tests, so i am not insulin resistant and hormone levels are normal well i assume so, as my dr said it was all normal, and i am taking 500mg of metformin twice a day. i am trying to concieve, this is our first month. the wait at my dr's office is long, any one that can give me advice til then would be greatly appreciated. i am not nieve, i know that it wouldn't be signs of pregnancy so soon, but any advice is good.

I would say its just spotting due to your going off of the pill. Your period is probably going to be a little goofy for a few months. Implantation bleeding typically happens 3 to 7 days after conception, not the day after. I would keep trying, but I wouldnt get my hopes up completely until your cycle normalizes and ovulation can be better predicted. Once you have your ovulation pin pointed then make sure you are having intercourse the day before, the day of, and the day after ovulation, if not even more. Personally I would throw away the predictor kits for now and just do it alot. I would start out by having sex because it feels good to both you and your partner, and see if you get a bonus in the process!

It mightn't be menstruation or pregnancy, but maybe sex was a little rough?
Besides, even though you did take a break from the pill, it is still common to experience spotting between periods.
Or there could be a problem, but I doubt it.
There - three explanations, but the second seems to be the most feasible.

It may be you bleeding in between periods or could be pregnancy. When did you start taking metformin?
