ive been on the pill almost 6months and i havent gained weight at all. ive lost weight but not through taking the pill (good old diet and exerise :-( ) but anyhow your doc wont think its a minor issue. they will check your weight to make sure your suitable, i my weight has been checked checked everytime ive gone for my check up (every 3 months for the pill im on)
as far as the pill is concerned weight is a mojor issue ok

Hi, when i went on the pill it actually made me lose weight, everybodys different i suppose.

I haven't had any change to my weight by going on the pill. If you do suffer side effects etc, there are a number of different contraceptive pills, theres not just the one, so your doctor may change your prescription etc if appropriate

Just try it, don't be put off by the weight stuff, not everybody gains and some people lose. Also those who gain often lose it when going off the pill. You don't know until you try...if it's the best contraceptive for you and the alternative is pregnancy/abstaining then give it a go. Remember there are many different types as well. Good luck.

I went on the pill when I was 18. At 21, I was advised to stop due to complications arising from taking the pill. It was within a couple of months after I stopped taking the pill that I started to put on the weight.

So, you won't put on any weight while taking the pill.

Good Luck.

it doesn't matter whether you put on weight just speak to your doctor about the different ones there are as ther are so many different ones if you don't you may get big anyway during pregnancy

Well Ill be honest, about two months after starting the pill I gained about seven pounds all together and Ive been on it close to three years now, its very hard to get rid of but can be done. But believe me putting on seven or five pounds is so so much better then putting on 60 and having a little one to take care of after you loose that weight. Maybe you wont even gain weight, not every woman does. I think you should just go on and see, if you gain too much weight then they can try a different pill. Good luck.

It can make you put on a bit of weight, but if you eat a nesnible diet and exercise it shouldn't make harld any difference if any at all.

But, after being on the pill for quite a few years and just coming off it one thing I would warn anyone is the low libidio side effect. I found it completely lowered my sex drive to nearly nothing. That's teh reason I came off it and straght away it went back to normal.
If you are in teh UK, I found microgynon 30 much better than cileste.

I eat the tablet, it made me loose weight and I became really hyperactive ^^ The tablet basically prevents your ovaries from releasing an egg, altering the lining of the womb, so a fertilised egg can't embed itself there. If you visit a site and check the side effects it might put you at rest.

I didn't put on any weight. If you're really concerned about it ask your doctor to put you on a lower dose of birth control like orthotricylen lo.
