Girl Question - Shaving?!

Question: I'm want to start shaving 'down there', the only thing is that when i do shave, it leaves little dots, like a little rash, I read somewhere that it goes away eventually after you've done it for a while? Because if there's going to be a huge rash I'd rather not do it lol..
Also, how often do you have to keep shaving? Because the hair seems to grow back verryyy quickly?
Thanks! x

I would never try nair. I've only had bad experiences with it. It's a chemicle and you shouldn't be putting chemicles by your vagina!

Ingrown hairs suck. It happens though. You can buy creams that help to sooth and get rid of it. Also, you should make sure to be using a clean razor and shaving cream.

You don't really even need to shave that often. The most important thing is keeping the hair down there trimmed and keeping your vagina clean.

My advice is to shave the area around the lips and sides but to leave the middle area on your pelvis a bit hairy... but trimmed. You don't need to shave every time that hair grows back. It does grow back quickly and you're more likely to get the ingrown hairs (the red bumbs) if you shave your hair down there when it is really stubbley.

When the hair starts to grow back, you should just monitor it until it's long enough to shave without causing the bumps, but not too long. If you have a sexual partner, you should also talk to them about their preference.

Most guys don't like clean shaved vaginas. If they do, it's probably because they're into porn and they don't have the faintest idea about what realisticly goes on down there.

You're vaginal area is not going to be perfectly smooth and hairless all of the time. In fact, it's good to have some hair down there because the hair keeps the vagina protected and clean.

As for some other advice, use SUMMER'S EVE. It's a vaginal wash that you can purchase at the grocery store in the feminine isle. You use it in the shower. Summer's Eve has a lot of products for vaginal hygene such as the wipes that you can use when you're on your period to clean your vagina. They even have easy travel sized packages that you can carry around in your purse.

well you should try the nair pretty hair removing cream in sted of shaving. it will look nice than liitle red bumps every where and there is 0 chance of getting cut!

Its normal to have a small rash bc the hair grows so quickly that when you do shave again, it will irritate the skin. I shave everyday.

The more you shave the thicker the hair will grow, you may have to become a daily shaver, for the rash you need more lubrication befre shaving, try your bf's shaving foam or something.

To the rash you already have add Lubriderm, it worked with me.

try a different cream or soap, something to reduce irritation. that should fix everything and you'll be baby soft and smooth in no time! :)

Well what I wuold reccomend is just trimming your pubes unless your planning on haveing intercourse or something like that. you can put lotion on after you shave this can linda help. make sure your razor is clean too... yuo dont want an infection from it. the day after you shave like the next morning or something scrub really hard down there. the rash can sometimes be from ingroen hairs. OWWW

I wax !! It might hurt a bit more but I love the results!!

I would stop shaving it if I were you, dont hurt your vagina.
When you shave your hurting the skin by shaving so much just let it be.
I know it seems sexier, but which do you prefur? To be annoyed down there and risk rash and cuts and everything.. Or to be bald down there just for the mans interest.
Your choice hun, choose wisely.
