Yes. It is done due to societal norms in some tribal groups. In the groups that practice this mutilation (which is what it really is) a woman isn't deemed ready for marriage until it is done. Many women in those cultures have great difficulties enjoying sex, if it's possible at all. They fall prey to infections and disease as a result of the ritual, and often have trouble getting medical care. The clitoris is removed, and in some cases part of the labia is also taken. It is very painful to live with.

There is a such thing, but there is no medical reason for it. It can actually cause a lot of complications. It is a tradition that is done a lot in Africa.
Yes there is. And its horrible. A womans clitoris is cut off. Because its felt that without it a woman cannot feel pleasure during sex, and will not cheat on her husband.
