The ring??!

Question: Has anyone ever tried the birth control ring? What is your experiences with it? I have an apt on Monday for the dr and I am going to ask about it but is it easy to put in/take out? Can you feel it? Is there a way it can go to far up? And does rough sex affect it at all? Thanks to all those who can help!?

I used it for a while and really liked it--so much easier than pills. Easy to put in and take out. I didn't feel it at all, and I don't think my husband felt it during sex, either. He never said anything. And if your bf does feel it, and it bothers him, you can take it out for a little while, then put it back.

The best part: It made my periods shorter and easier. Also, I've frequently had to deal with acne breakouts, but I think I had two pimples the whole time I used the ring.

It did totally squash my libido, but bc pills did that too. It's just how my body reacts to hormonal bc. My doc uses it, and she said it actually helps her--having something in there keeps her..."lubed" and ready to go.

I stopped using it because we thought we'd try for a baby, and then discovered that I'm prone to blood clots, so I won't go back. But for ease of use, it was great!

I've tried the ring and its very easy to put in and take out. If its not in all the way then you could feel it but otherwise no. And no matter how rough the sex is it doesn't come out. I had that but then i ended up getting the IUD which is so much better.

i have never used it but i do know talking with a few that have they say they can't fell it and it it's put in place right the sex shouldn't be a problem. it might fell odd the first day or so but i was told it's kinda like a tampon you know it's there ya just don't feel it.Best thing though ask your doctor when you go in and see whats best for you

first of all honey anything forgone you put inside you cant be comfortable and can cause you some discomfort nothing you us is 100% safe anyway and yea it can and will move during sex

I am not on the ring. I use Yasmine (Now it's Yaz). My friend used the ring and it came off during sex twice. It ended up squeezing her boyfriend's penis and causing him a LOT of pain. It happened to them twice before she switched. He said it hurt a lot! Be careful. They weren't doing it rough or anything either. It IS possible for it to do that.

I used the NuvaRing for a few months, but it didn't fit me well. It kept sliding out of me during the third week of use.

Once you know how it should sit inside you, it's easy to insert and take out. Have your gyno put the first one in for you. Like a tampon, there's no way it can go too far up inside you.

I could tell it was there, but it didn't bother me--even during sex. If it rubs you the wrong way during sex, you can take it out beforehand--for up to three hours at a time.

If it fits you well, NuvaRing is a good choice. You only have to replace it once a month, and it emits a lower dose of hormones than the Pill does.
