No Sex Drive !!?!

Question: I am a healthy, 20-year-old, 125 lb. woman who has never had an orgasm. I am stressing about this, which I realize only makes it worse. I have no sex drive, I am on birth control, I don't have a boyfriend, and am not a virgin. I recently bought a vibrator and attempted to use it. It felt really good for a while, but after a while the stimulation decreased and I got too bored to continue. I recall feeling a lot more sexual when I was younger (around 17), but not anymore, and not for a while now. I've been to the doctor, spoken and been examined by my gyno, and am physically totally normal. I've even gotten hormone tests and everything is fine. So, what gives? am I just out of luck or is there something I should be doing that am unaware of?

well birth control definatly lowers your sex drive...you might want to talk to your doctor about increasing your testosterone (helps with the sex drive)....but also think about why you arent enjoying sex...there are so many more things involved with a womans sex drive that are emotional rather than physical.
maybe you havent been attracted enough to your partners...maybe you have a lot of anxiety?...have you had a bad experience in your past that makes you a little strange about sex? or it could just be that your stressed. bored. but it doesnt necessarily mean that there is anything wrong with you...you just have to figure out what works for you

The birth control could have an affect on your sex drive. If you are on any kind of anti depressants or take any kind of other drugs the side effect could be decreased sexual drive. If none of this applies to you it could be that since you don't have a boyfriend right now you just aren't getting enough stimulates to get you in the mood.

birth control seriously lowers your sex drive......it usually takes it away completely in some women
it takes away your testosterone levels which is what gives you that extra boost of wanting sex

i was watching oprah and they had this doctor on there talking about it on friday. I will investigate who she was and update. She talked about how to get yourself in the mood which will help when someone else joins you too....

it was really informative...

Birth control is definitely a large factor.
Although it might just be a psychological distaste for sex, or for emotional attraction.

I hate to admit it...but I'm the same way. I do orgasm...but my sex drive is just not there...I think I'm bored.

THE BIRTH CONTROL WILL DO IT... AND IF UR UNDER A LOT OS STRESS AND ANXIETY IT WILL DO THAT TOO.. HAVE U GOTTEN UR TESTOSTERONE CHECK..YEA US WOMEN HAVE THAT TOO BUT VERY LIL.. IF IT'S TOO LOW THIS WILL HAPPEN TOO.....

Change Birth control pills.

Some of this could be a mind thing, of not having a man.
Sounds like you had sex drive when you had a b/f.
You may be stressing too much over it and that cuts the sexual desire Dr. can give male hormone trestrone to help with that sometimes. But don't worry about it now, since you aren't with anybody. You know what it feels like and probably the good spots, just think of that and when the time is right try again, just don't stress if it doesn't happen. the next guy may be the one who can give the best you ever imagined.===

Most women don't even achieve their first orgasm until in their early to mid 20's. Heard that from Dr. Drew. It's true, too! I was 22ish when I think I had my first "real" one... :) lol
I know it's probably easier said than done, but don't stress about it so much.
