Haven't had my period since October?!

Question: Okay, I'm 22 years old and I just moved to another country in august to be with my fiance and go to university. When I got here my period started skipping. I thought I was pregnant at first but I took a bunch of tests and they were all negative, and then I got my period in October. But now it's skipping again, and I haven't gotten it since, and it's been almost 3 and a half months. I took another test and it was negative as well, so it's really weird. I usually don't skip periods, and I don't feel like I'm under any kind of stress. I feel like I'm eating healthier than I did when I lived by myself, so I dunno what's going on, lol. Anyone have any ideas?

When I moved internationally a few years ago I skipped my periods for 6 months, then started regularly again.
just incase go to see a doctor anyway.

For a 22 year old non pregnant female who was previously healthy to go 3 and 1/2 months without a period, and for this to be normal, is possible but not likely.

First, I would repeat the pregnancy test. They are wrong about one time in 50.

Second, I would think about your travel and school history. You are obviously in a stressful situation, and continue to be. Prolonged stress can often interfere with your cycle.

Third, I also wonder about your health. You claim you are 'eating healthier' -- what does that mean? Are you perhaps dropping your calories too low? and also, are you exercising a lot more? If a woman starves and over exercises, she can shut off her cycle there too.

Finally, if this does not help, please see a doctor. Sometimes not having a period can be a sign of bad things.

Best of luck

You need to go to Doctor. It could be a number of things.

Could be cysts (that is what caused mine to do the same thing) in any case you should go and have it checked out. If you are on birth control it is possible that those could be causing it. But like I said I would go and get it checked, just to be on the safe side.

I think you need to go to your doctor and have him test you. Be on the safe side:)

maybe its from your change in diet, but you might want to see you doctor about it

You should consult with a GYN. Since this is not the first time this has happened it is best to see what is going on before irreversible damage is done.

I think you should see a doctor.
