What's the best diet for someone who's thin but wants to tone up?!

Question: I'm 22, between 130-135 lbs., 5'6". I'm getting married in May and want to look kickass for my man! What's a good diet/workout plan to abide by that'd probably work well for me?

Weightlifting (just use smaller weights). Protein shakes within 90 minutes after the workout. Do cardio 3 times a week, for like 10-30 minutes. As far as diet, just eat healthy. When you workout more you may want to eat more, so don't be surprised if that happens and plan your meals wisely. Congrats!

A diet that is high in protein helps build muscle. Eat protein within half an hour after exercising for best effect

Drop any fast foods & foods with high contents of fat and sugar. You can also try running about half a mile five days a week, stretching before and after and then increasing to 1 mi, 3 mi, etc. when you feel that you're able to. You'll get toned if it's all done right and are eating healthy. Just to make sure check with your doctor and just see if there is anything that they would recommend.
Hopefully you look great for your wedding- good luck!

I have a really similar body type. am 5'3 and 107 I go to the gym really often and I feel a combination of cardio (treadmill/elliptical) along with toning from yoga and pilates has worked well for me. Yoga and pilates are also really good for flexiablity and stength building . I also swim. So I basically do one of each of the above eveyday of the week and have been doing so for about 4 months and am really happy with the results and its fun cause your not doing the same thing all the time though I guess you wil have to join a gym.
The cool thing about being skinny is that you get muscle cuts really fast . I pretty much eat anything and everything I feel like though fruits veggies and lots of water are good for the complexion so I would suggest that. Congratulations on your wedding and best of luck.
