I have my period and.... (girls only)?!

Question: I am really nervous as it is really heavy and i am wearing a super pad but i am still scared that i am going to leak and im going to be embarrassed. It has happened to me before and i want to know if there is a pad that can stop leaks??!!
I'm 14 and i am not sexually active, so is there a pad out there that can really prevent leaks but is also thin? If so what is the brand??
Thankyou so much :)

the ones with wings are your best bet because they catch any leaks.
remember to wear dark pants or long t.shirts and you'll be just fine.... white pants are a no no, that goes for everyone!

try tampons. i'm 14 and i wear them.

if you can't then just wear a super maxi pad and black pants. i'm sorry but periods suck. good luck.

ps. the thin ones really don't prevent leaks. even with the maxis i leaked.

well u could try super pad that you usually use for overnight but since your 14 i suggest you try a tampon its easier and less messy its awkward at first but ull get used to it and also ask your mom or close relative about it, u can also try looking it up online....there are many directions and helpful tips on your period

tampons, and if you want to wear a pad too (if its realy heavy), just in case. and remember to change it often. i usualy stay home when i start mine. its a realy anoyance

Get a overnight pad that has wings, it'll protect the sides of the panty. I like Always brand

First of all, leaks are prevented by not "overusing" the pad and getting the proper absorbency for your flow. Even if you have to change more often. I am a woman in my 30's with a sometimes-way-too heavy flow , and you just have to know when enough is enough. The number one problem that a lot of women have is pad bunching...it happens with thin and thick pads alike. To be honest the ONLY pad that ever worked miracles for me was the hospital ones they give you after having a child...(can I get an "AMEN", moms???) Those suckers are like 2 feet long and are about 4 inches thick. Your bum gets sore just from sitting on them but doggone it they work. BUT...they're not even close to cool for wearing out in public. So...having said that, you have to experiment until you find one you like.

Me personally, I like Always.

Good luck!

If you don't want to use a tampon these are THE best pads

When I first got my period I had a similar problem. You could actually try going on the birth control pill that helped a lot for me. It thins your blood out so your period is less heavy. Mine went from lasting about 8 days to a very light flow for about 3 days.
