Is it an ovarian cyst? Please help :(?!

Question: I have went to the gynocologist 3 times in the past 2 weeks so i could be treated for a yeast infection. Well, I think the yeast infection is gone, she had to see me three times becasue it was a more resistant type of infection. I mentioned to her that sometimes it hurts during sex, and when I put a tampon in, or the applicators for the yeast infection, it would hurt to put it in. Almost like it just hurt the "walls" of my vagina. It doesn't hurt when the doctor was pressing on my abdomin or anything, just when she was doing the actaul exam.
She then asked me "could I be pregnant?" But that's impossible since I haven't had intercourse since my husband was deployed 3 motnhs ago. But still I took 2 different urine tests and they both came out negative for pregnancy. I've been completely stressed from my husband being gone, school and work, and I started throwing up about two weeks ago and running a fever, and it seems my headache never goes away ever since. What is wrong with me?

It sounds like you are VERY stressed out. If you had an ovarian cyst you'd have a lot of pain and it would be one sided, either the left or right pelvic region. But some cysts are normal and come only during ovulation and go away on their own when you have your period. Some women can even feel when they have an ovarian cyst. It wouldn't hurt in your vagina area, that is something totally different. And from what you just said, it sounds like you just have a very bad yeast infection that is not responding so well to antibiotics. So give it more time to work. If you get severe cramping and heavy/irregular bleeding during your cycle then let your doctor know for this is a sign of endometriosis that is very common in a lot of women. The antibiotic you are taking can cause the nausea/vomiting.

Mayb the Stress of ur Husband Leaving Is causing this. My friend has the same sympotoms. But Her cause was like an ulser. And it caused her to throw up to. Stress causing this. Stress Comes from Worrying alot or even bein pissed as in yelling To the point where u feel like ur gonna Explode.

I hhope what i juss said helps at all.

Fever, vomiting and headache. Apart from the stress factor, you seem to be having an infection somewhere in your body. Not that yeast infection though, that seems to have cleared.
If your fever and headache persist or increase, you have to consult an internist.

No. Ovarian cysts are small, sharp pains in your ovaries, and exquisitely painful should one happen to pop (my best friend had that happen to her on a 17 hour flight from Johannesburg). Given the circumstances of your life which you described you may have psychosomatic stress reaction, which means that you're so stressed out, it manifests physically. Ever feel kinda achy and crappy when you're depressed? It's kinda like that but more severe. When my fiance deployed back in 04 his mother had hives for six months she was so worried about him. But when he got back, they went away.

No, you probably don't have a cyst. If I were you I'd stop using tampons for your periods until everything clears up. By the way, during ovulation is it common to feel pain in the area of the ovary or ovaries. This pain can be pretty intense and especially tender if you experience some kind of pressure in that area.

You could be feeling pain, also, because you are putting things in too deeply. Or you may be irritating the walls of the vagina and need to use lubrication when inserting anything. My guess is that if you leave everything alone it will take care of itself.

You may want to consider a second opinion.

You mention being stressed. Please know that stress can play havoc on your mind and body. It can make you very sick. Perhaps learning how to relax may be key.

Hope you feel better soon.

usually a pelvic exam can detect wheter or not a ovarian cyct might be there. i had one the ruptured, and the pain was unbarable that i had to get admitted to the hospital. ovarian cyct occur in most women and most likely will go away by itself, or in rare cases can be removed by surgery. goodluck!
