That is not the way to check for pregnancy. You should have gotten a urine test before the pap. That would tell you, even then it might not be 100%

Did your doctor do a pee test for pregnancy?

Pap tests are not about pregnancy, and I don't think they would reveal it. So, yes, if you didn't think you should be checked with a hormone test, your doctor wouldn't have noticed it through the pap.

and the pap smear is to check for cancer.

Instead of being in suspense, get one of the early responder pregnancy tests, like First Response. You can use it on the day your period should have started. Although a Pap test is for cervical cancer, there is a sign of pregnancy that I don't think the doctor could miss. When pregnant, your cervix turns blue. Since they take a tissue sample from the side of the cervix, they have to look at it, and it would be hard to miss a blue cervix. However, the doctor might not say anything because he/she assumes you know you are pregnant.
