Tampon pain?!

Question: I'm really new to tampons. As in I just started using them like two days ago. I've had my period for about two and a half years, though. I can put them in fine, though it's a bit uncomfortable, and I can't feel most of it while it's in. But it's always a bit uncomfortable at the end, at the opening to my vagina. I'm guessing that it's cause it's drier there, no blood or discharge right there. Even when I push it in pretty much as far as I feel it can go in, it still hurts a bit.

It's not major or anything, but it's just uncomfortable. Is this normal? If not, can I do anything to fix it? And no, it's not when going in. It's while it's in until I take it out pretty much.

I used to have the same problem when I was younger. Your not inserting the tampon in all the way and that is why it hurts at the end. I know you said you push it far but try using the applicator to insert it if your using you fingers now, that helped me. Hope that helps.

it may be because youa re still a virgin. beign a virgin hurts a little at the begininning

Maybe try putting them in in a different position, like squatting and interting them towards your butt. It might help. It probably hurts a little bit if you are a virgin too (?) but just practice

try using tampax preal, or a junior tampon they're shorter and it might help with the discomfort

I would use a smaller tampon to start off...if you aren't filling most of it up then you may be using a tampon that is too absorbant. Try a smaller size. Also if it is painful when pushing it in I would try some vasaline on the tip of it (just a little) and it should slide in easier. Hope this helps!

use tampons more on your heavy days, and use small tampons. Not the regular or large ones, just small. But, yh, use them on heavy days because there isn't as much friction as when it's starting to slow down. Hope it helps!
