Is it normal not to lose weight during your period?!

Question: I'm been losing weight steadily with diet and excersize, about 1-2 lbs a week. But for the first time in the several months that I've been doing this I noticed that I didn't lose any weight during my period, but continued losing about a week later. hmm... I guess its okay but i just want to know if its normal - thanks!

Yes that's normal because your body stores extra water and you are more bloated during your period.

I still lost 6lbs while on my period last week. The thing about periods is that your body holds water so up the intake of water and keep exercising, also maybe eat a little bit less than you normally would.

I hope this helps!

yes it's just water retention.

Congratulations on your weight loss.
And the other girls are right, you don't tend to lose weight during your period due to water retention.

The free E-book on this site might be just what you need to help you lose weight. It's a free download so at least it won't hurt to try it.
