Effectiveness of spermicide?!

Question: My husband and I have a 1 year old child, and are planning on having another later this year. We've been using condoms with spermicide but take off the condom before he ejaculates in me. How effective is this against pregnancy?

Better be prepared for another one on the way. There is only enough spermicide in the condom to help out the condom in the event of a problem (re: pin hole). He tricked you into letting him go bareback at the most crucial time. Wow - not only is he a lucky guy, but he's got you tricked too...

I'd say it's 1% effective. Why even use a condom if you remove it, are you serious?

Just tell your husband to cool it a bit and practice doing it at the right times of the month.

Why does he wear the condom if he takes it off before he ejaculates?? That doesnt make any sense at all whatsoever! Forget about the condom, it's useless since it's not being used to contain the ejaculate.
It's totally uneffective to take off the condom even if it had spermacide in it, you'd be better off buying spermacide in syringes and inserting that in you before sex, it would at least offer some protection.

not very effective

I ask myself what is the point.....

"Oh dear I'm pregnant"
"How come"
"Well that spermicide didn't work"
"best use a condom next time then"
