I O.D when i was 13?!

Question: I dont realy like speaking about this because i regret it soo badlyy. Basically i took 23 tabletss some anti-depressants some sleeping pills and parasetamol what ever ones i could find in the cupboard. the day after i took them i was dizzy and really ill i didnt eat for ages i just didnt have and appitite. Now nearly 2 years later my mum thinks i have diabetes its not 100% yet. Are there any other side effects of O.d ing. I would never make a mistake like this again.

I dont know how old you are now, but it's pretty unlikely that (even tho it seems like a lot) that few tablets would have any effect at all.. It may have made you sleepy at the time and reduced your appetite for a day but to completely O.D on anti-depressants you would need to be taking them in the hundreds, and you wouldnt be able to get that amount without suspicion (which is why its not that common a way of dying) also paracetamol tablets will do nothing but thin your blood and "make you feel dizzy" but again - huge quantities would need to be at play here.

I can tell you, (i also prefer not to discuss much) i had a similar time of my life and devoured nearly 40 valium tablets which is quite a lot for that style of meds and apart from being half asleep for 3 days, I was completely fine.

The only real effects of trying to O.D on tablets you can get is if it were done on a regular basis (like once a week) at the amount you took, you may do some long term liver damage (but any excessive amounts of meds, even paracetamol in large quanities can do that over a long period of time)

There's no connection between once taking what equates to taking a few too many pills, to having diabetes!

If you do have it, I'm sorry, but don't spend your life thinking you did this to yourself!!!

does your mom know you did this? If not, you should tell her. If I were you, I would go to the doctor. Good luck!
