Will anything happen if i miss two or more birth control pills?!

Question: heres the deal: i lost one birth control pill while trying to take it. So I'm behind one pill. Should I continue packs after packs even though I'm behind a pill? Also, will anything happen to me (period wise) if i miss one or two pills due to the fact I'm not able to get an appointment with Planned Parenthood right away or don't have the money right now to buy a new pack?? Please, I need an answer before Monday! :(

each pill is essentially the same as the next, even if they are called something else or colored differently. The Pill with the name Tuesday is really no different than the Pill named Saturday. More so though, it is no different than the pilled named Tuesday of next week. So I would say if you are not havng sex for three days straight then you could miss a day, as long as that day does not fall in your period days or even a few days before ( just to be safe).
So I'd say continue to take the pills, even though, you are a day behind. After you have your period, the week later is the time to play " Catch-up" If not you have at least two maybe three weeks to work it out where you can catch-up so you are in sync.
Its very unlikely it would have this long term effect on your period. I doubt it would effect your period at all, it is built up in your system so your not stopping ( depleting your system) and restarting at some later time.

dont fu ck until u see them.

Do you mean you took the next pill, or you missed the day you lost the pill?

If you took the next pill and you're just one day behind then I suggest you go and take a new pack and run it straight along when you finish this one (or speak to the people at Planned Parenthood).

It is possible to get pregnant by missing one or two pills, so starting straight away you should use condoms or abstain. One pill should be okay and not cause pregnancy or your "period" but you never know so if I were you I'd try and be safe rather than sorry.

Oh yeah it also makes a difference on whether you're on a monophasic pill (same hormones all through the month) or triphasic pill (different hormones through the month). If they're all the same then it shouldn't matter as much that you're one behind.

Further to your update if you're not having sex for a while then just wait until you can get a Planned Parenthood appointment to discuss this with them. Unfortunately I don't think they can give you just one pill so you may have to just start a whole new pack, and treat it as though you're starting from scratch.

At least now you know you can soon go 9 months without having to take them at all.

You indicate that you've already started a new pack after the one where you missed the pill, if so, you're good to go. If you lost the birth control, the best thing you can do (if you can) is to start a new pack and throw away the other. The hormones in each pill are different in each individual pill. There are 3 different types of birth control so this may vary:multiphasic, monophasic and biphasic. The type indicates how the hormone level is split up.The risk of pregnancy is greatly affected by which week you missed the pill in. If it's your first week then yeah you definitely want to start a new pack or at the very least use a backup birth control method like condoms.

Obviously, this all depends entirely on which type of pills you are taking. Can you list the type? I would just call or email Planned Parenthood for professional advice.
