Miscarriage and next period?!

Question: How bad was your period after a miscarriage? I miscarried on 12/26-27 and just got my first period afterwards. This period is worse than my period has ever been. Is this normal?

The first period after a miscarriage is usually tougher on you than others. You are still resetting the hormonal cycle, and catching up- so the flow is typically heavier and crampier. It's usually tough on you emotionally as well, and that certainly doesn't do the physical discomfort any favors either. Until your normal pattern re-establishes itself completely, don't be surprised to have a heavier flow, with clots and cramps. It should even itself out in another few months, sooner if you are fortunate. Give yourself a good six months before you start to fret. Your body is still in recovery, and so are you.

yes that is normal. I had the same thing happen to me. my first couple periods after were very heavy, more painful, stuff like that. good luck and hope all goes well for you

Very normal - it's also often emotionally harder too.
The next one should be more normal.
