Fetal movement is usually first felt anywhere between 17 and 22 weeks- women who have had more than one child will recognize it sooner as they remember what it felt like to them. At first the kicks you notice will be few and far between. In fact, you may feel several movements one day and then none the next. Although your baby is moving and kicking regularly, many of his jerks and jolts aren't yet strong enough for you to feel. But later in the second trimester, those kicks will become stronger and more regular. There are many descriptions of what it feels like- popcorn popping, fish swimming around, and butterflies fluttering. Some women also mistaken it for hunger pangs. You're more likely to feel it when you're sitting or lying quietly.

It's possible, although I didn't start feeling movement until around 18-19 weeks. The best way I heard it described was it feels like butterflies in your stomach.

Congrats on the baby!

you start feeling it around 16 weeks it feels more like a tiny flutter quite low down in tummy. i felt mine at about 16 weeks and after a few times you will definately know what it is!! it feels brill and makes the pregnancy all the more real. i bought a doppler, had 4d scans done you name it i did it. i loved been pregnant. its when you get the kicks in the ribs later on you wish it wasnt kicking!!! good luck and all the best for a healthy babyxxxxxxxx
