I have severe PMDD after having a very severe case of PPD. I was on many meds for the PPD, but none of them even remotely helped alleviate the PMDD symptoms.

Talk to your doctor about trying out Yaz for the PMDD. It's done wonders for me, and has helped many other women. I am no longer suicidal, which I was every month before going on the Yaz.

Definitely talk to your doctor about the Yaz before switching docs... if he/she won't listen, then make the switch to a new doctor.
Do you have a support system? Talk to family, talk to friends. Let them know what's going on with you.
I wish you all the best.

I found talking it out helped. It was kinda pathetic but I told everyone, a counselor, people at church, people on the bus. Every single time I let a little more of it go. Sleep eight hours a day, get regular exercise, eat three meals of decent food, take your vitamins and do something nice for yourself everyday. I am also a big believer in mind over matter so I would force myself to think of three positive things every time I thought something negative. To help with that I wrote them down on post-its and stuck them all over the house. I found that medication got in the way of my own self healing, but that is not the case with everyone so use due caution when taking yourself of meds. You can accomplish great things and this is not a lifetime sentence. Remember this during the hard times.

i agree with bathsheba. just stop all your medicines and then try talking with people you love. it will help. only when these dont work do we start NSAIDs, fluoxitine, antidepressants etc.
