What bra size?!

Question: Im currently at a 34 D bra.

The band fits nicely, but Im afraid that the cup may be too small. I have read that a properly fitting cup has no cleavage, unless its a push-up bra.

If I am going to go up a size (in the cup) what would be the size I go to?

36 A or 34 DD or something?

Serious, knowledgable answers only please

the letter is the cup size and the number is the inches around. 34 DD would be correct. I would try different brands of bras though too. They all fit differently. I feel that the size is just a guideline to go from, but not always a great idea of how it will fit.

going up in the cup size would be 34 DD

Our rib cage is the same size, so stick with a 34, but you might want to check around, some places offer big D's so you don't have to move to a DD. If not, try a DD and see how you like it.

Here is a link. I would try a 34DD (which might be hard to find) or try 36D. Sometimes you can go up a size, and down a cup. But the link shows all measurements. Good Luck

If you're going up a cup size, you'd go to 34 DD. Your best bet, before trying to pick a bra size, is go to a store and get measured. Stores like Victoria's Secret, Fredrick's of Hollywood, Soma, Macy's, and Lane Bryant all measure you (with your clothes on) at no cost. They'll be able to help you find exactly what size you need.

I routinely recommend the services of a professional bra fitter to some of my patients. Most good department stores can set you up with such a service. Locally, Macy's and Dillard's offer professional fitters.

All of the advice on this page is fine, but nothing can beat the eyes of a professional cast onto the situation. Really. :)

BTW, it's estimated (and I agree) that well over half of the women in America are wearing the wrong bra size.
