i knw how you feel..
ive been tru that i just graduated from high school..my best advice is too use dark pants..dont think bout it or worry bout it too much...o yeah and if u have a heavy pd.. NEVER NEVER use small pads..its better if use the over night ones..and believe me..ull be fine..ull even forget ur on ur pd ; ]]

try 2 wear black clothes until u finish...i think that helps

When it is heavy like that, you should try both - pad and tampon. you can change them quick if you try - just like going to the bathroom. good luck.

Wear the thickest pads you have so you dont have to change them as often as regular or thin pads

i suggest to bring extra cotton panties and an extra pad... ;)

change your 'items' beginning of recess and lunchtime. and just get a pass out of class or something, so you don't have to worry about being late. Maybe you could start looking for those ultra thin pads, they are the same absorbency so the only difference is what you prefer! hope this helps.
P.s. make sure you keep a spare change of underwear hidden in your bag Just in case!

Always be prepared. That's the best advice I can give you.

Keep everything you need with you - pads (or whatever protection you choose), pain reliever, wipes (good for clean up), and even extra underwear. If you have room in your bag or locker, you could keep an extra pair of pants with you, too.

Most schools will excuse you for being late to class if you truly have an issue with your period. Just don't make that excuse when it's not true. You don't want to take advantage.

If they work for you, buy the thinnest pads possible. You can buy the thin overnight ones for extra coverage. They're still thin enough to feel more comfortable, and they work really well. I used them for my post partum period, and if they worked for that, they should work for your period.

Good luck!

The best thing you can do is use a new pad right before you go to school, change at lunchtime and not worry so much.
Try using thinner, extra absorbent pads and you should be fine.
You could always ask to be excused from class, to go to the bathroom, if you have any worries.

I suggest Always Overnights with Wings or Kotex Security Super Plus Absorbency Tampons. If your flow is that heavy, try combining both of them. I suggest the overnight pad because it is designed for a heavy overnight flow and the tampons I suggested are, to me the best ones to use. I have used them before and I never had a leak problem. Also, if you have time between classes, and its not too far, go to the rest room to do a quick check.

Once you're wearing it, you get used to it. I would definitely recommend wearing tight shorts under your skirt though, the thought of sitting in a seat with a pad in a skirt is enough to make me cringe (skirts AND pads are kinda uncomfortable). The shorts will make it feel better and not so "lose" down there. It will also eliminate any "slippage" that could occur. Good luck!
