When can I resume taking birth control after plan B?!

Question: I took plan b on Saturday and then again on Sunday. Besides lower back pain I haven't had any symptoms so does that mean I probably wont get any more symptoms?

How soon can I start taking my birth control again?

Will I be protected from that moment on or do I need to take extra precaution until I have my next period?

take it straight away - you wont be protected for the first 7 days so use extra protection until then. but you can start taking your pills straight away.

You need to talk to the doctor or pharmacist about when to start taking your pill again. Most likely, they'll tell you to start with your next period, just as you would have when you first started on birth control. You should definately use extra protection for at least a month until your body adjusts to being on the pill. But definately talk to your doctor before doing anything.

Why did you take Plan B if you were already on birth control?

You should not start taking birth control again until you have a normal period. Then, you start over like you had never taken birth control before. Meaning, wait 30 days before having unprotected sex.
