Period durring surgery?!
Question: In march i'm getting surgery on both feet. And the date that my parents set it up for is when i'm supposed to have my period. It's just an out-patient surgery, so i'll only be there for a day. I was wondering if it will be a problem if i have my period durring the surgery?

No it wont be a problem. The nurse will place a pad under you during the surgery, and you will be knocked out so you wont even know. Take some pads with you, the ones in the hospital are huge.

I wouldn't think that would be a problem but you might want to just let the dr. know that is a possibility

I'm not sure on that one but make sure you notify your doctor that's doing the surgery on you what the side effects are....
When I had my gallbladder removed I was on my period unfortunately and they won't let you wear your underwear you just have to stick a pad between your legs. It was gross but you do what you have to so you can be healthy I suppose.
No i realise this is embarrassing for you but just wear a pad and let your nurse no. There should be no reason that they will head anywhere near there.

Nope, but I would use a tampon because they may make you remove your panties.
I had sinus surgery and then a year later bunionectomy and I was on my period both times, I didn't even bother telling the doc I just made sure to wear a tampon.
i had surgury on my feet to, and during that time i had my period and nothing happened so you should be fine
I was in a hospital once and I was having a miscarrige so I was bleeding all over the floor becuase they wouldnt let me wear underwear. I was like WHAT !? im gunna bleed all over the floor !!! thats gross !!!

it may not seem okay to me..... but it's a hospital and they will clean it up. period blood is something they see/clean up everyday and yes it can make a big mess but it's OKAY

If you have it, let the surgeon know the day before your surgery so they can help you be more comfortable during surgery.
People have sex during their period everyday. It's prefectly fine, just tell the doctor before you start so he knows.
